Why is Boudoir SO scary?

Okay, I know that the idea of being in front of a stranger’s camera, and being half naked sounds excruciating. Trust me, I get it. I know it sounds terrifying to be vulnerable, and I know it must feel like the end of the earth as we know it.
But WHY is it so scary? Why are we so nervous? In the brand new podcast, we talk about the 4 reasons why we are so scared to dive into this experience which is here to completely and fully empower us, and build us up!

No. 1; We are taught to hate our bodies at a young age.
Bullies, influences, friends, and sometimes even parents are or can be big contributors.
We are told that we are too fat, too skinny, too tall, too short, too whatever.
We are always told that we can improve, that we need to be faster, buffer, skinnier, smarter.
We are subconsciously fed this information until it finally eats the last segment of self esteem we have.
Sometimes we are even left in an empty shell state where we just skate through life terrified of doing things that we really want to do.
Women are taught that we are not satisfactory as we are.

No. 2; We build up the Boudoir Experience so much in our heads.
As women, we tend to take a situation and think of the worst case scenario and make it our reality.
We think we are going to hate the experience, hate the photos and in turn, your self confidence will become worse.
We are so used to putting ourselves down that it’s just second nature.

No. 3; We believe we need a reason, or someone to do these photos for.
We believe that is we are not in a relationship that there is no reason for boudoir.
Although Boudoir is a great gift, you should NEVER do it solely for your partner.
You do not need a damn reason to celebrate YOU. To cherish YOU. To love YOU.
Your partner is going to love you and know your beautiful REGARDLESS of your boudoir session.

No. 4; We are terrified of being vulnerable.
We are scared to show our weakness. We are terrified to let go of our past. But I am here to share my story, be vulnerable with you, and allow you to rediscover yourself in a non-judgmental space.
