We are people of change. As we grow older, we are constantly changing. Our likes and dislikes change. Our opinions change. Our bodies change. Even our dreams change. Sometimes we can lose sight of the woman we were, and all the changes that we overcame to get to the woman we are now.

One of the most miraculous changes a woman can go through is pregnancy. Our body, creating another little human can sometimes be a crazy thing to wrap our minds around. You hold your baby in your body for 9 months; feeding them, talking to them, and taking extra care of yourself just for them. You go through drastic bodily changes out of love for this other human.

Maternity Boudoir shoots have not only become a more popular option, but something I enjoy offering. I love giving a mother to be a day to be spoiled and pampered. A day that is all about her. I love showing her the beauty and strength that is in herself. Some days she might be hormonal and hating everything this pregnancy has to offer, but I get to remind her how gorgeous this moment in life is. Maternity Boudoir captures this short time in your life that you will never want to forget.

Carrying a baby is no easy feat. There is so much more than just the physical that goes into it. It can be an extremely emotionally draining as well.

We are our harshest critics, and when our bodies undergo this drastic change, we can begin to dislike everything we see; which does not take away the love you have for the little one inside you. The hormone changes that take place can cause emotional rollercoasters, but it is all worth it when you get to hold that baby. Everything you feel is important, and how beautiful would it be to have all those feelings rush through you years from now when you look back on your shoot. To remember how strong your body was in molding itself to carry this little person. To remember the emotional battles you struggled with but overcame. To remember your strength in embracing these changes out of pure love.

Pregnancy is such crazy, life altering, beautiful thing. It pushes the limits of your body to hold another human and pushes your mind to overcome things you never thought you’d have to face.  It shows you a strength within yourself that is so unique.
