Your Boudoir wardrobe is sitting in your closet, right now. | Orange County Boudoir Photographer

August 16, 2017

You heard me right, all you need for your boudoir wardrobe for your experience, is sitting in your closet, literally as we speak.

That is not to say that I don’t approve of you going out, and shopping for new lingerie for your session because YOU TOTALLY SHOULD pamper yourself and take yourself out!

BUT, if you just don’t have the time, then you’ve already got everything you need in your home 😉

Believe it or not, the best boudoir images come from last minute planning, and quick grabs before heading out the door.

I decided to do a full blown photoshoot of myself with the wardrobe I have in my own closet NOT touching any of the lingerie from my closet or the client closet! (Because nobody else on this planet owns as much lingerie as a boudoir photographer who has no concept of control over online shopping)

I came up with 12 easy looks to out together from your closet that will make for BEAUTIFUL boudoir photographs.

  1. The sweater.

Girl, I KNOW you have a sweater in your closet. It can be an open cardigan, a pull over, a lengthy sweater, or a crop sweater. Try to keep it in a neutral color. You can pair is with a bra + panty set underneath, a cami, or nothing underneath!

2. The Button Up.

I am literally in love with the botton up, morning after look! This is definitely a look to bring if you want a relaxed, sensual and “just hanging around the house” vibe for an outfit!

3. The Bodysuit.

The most flattering outfit on ANY body type. I always try to make clients bring at least one bodysuit to their session and even though most women tell me that they have never even tried one on, and don’t think it will look good, they ALWAYS end up being the favorite images! TRUST ME.

4. The Granny Panties.

Comfort, AND sexy?? All you have to do is pull them up your bum, and DONE.

5. The Flannel.

I love the texture that a flannel brings to the photographs, it’s like casual, but still versatile. We can roll up the sleeves, keep them down, snuggle, keep open, there is nothing we can’t do with a good flannel! (Besides like… make coffee or something.)

6. The Little Black Dress.

Make sure that if you do want a little black dress as an outfit, you bring one that isn’t too restricting… we want to be able to lift up, and tug at!

7. The See Through Top.

There is nothing sexier than leave just a little to the imagination. Bring a see-through top to show off the goodies, but to make it just covered up enough to leave em’ waiting more!

8. The Blazer.

Definitely grab one with a more relaxed fit so we have wiggle room to move around freely without constriction!

9. The Tee.

Okay, you cannot tell me that you do NOT have a T-shirt in your closet. It can have a logo on it, a band, plain, whatever – bring it, they are awesome in your images!

10. The White Tank Top.

You can get a wife beater tank for under $5 at really any clothing store (this one is from Target!). They are so sexy, we can even get them wet with a spray bottle for your session to add that extra spice!

11. The Blanket.

I provide the blanket, you provide the body 😉 You can wear cute cheeky panties or nothing at all – either way, the blanket is an amazingly sexy addition to your shoot!

12. The Birthday Suit.

Ladies, I know for a fact you’ve got your birthday suit, and by no means is it required to go nude, its highly recommended! It truly is the most raw, and beautiful form and outfit your can wear, beautiful in your own skin!
